2012 has arrived! Many opportunities for great change are promised. January will set the stage for an exceptional year. In the tradition of following your heart, the challenge of this journey is to eliminate the blocks in order to share your gifts and talents with the world. Will it be easy? No. Will it be worth it? Yes. The month begins with the moon in Aries pushing one off the proverbial cliff in the leap of faith to follow the hearts calling. There is an illumination of knowing to set intentions to clear the discord in the emotional body instead of making traditional resolutions so common this time of year. Embrace the truth of your being and your true bliss will be realized. Mercury moves into Capricorn on Sunday the 8th moving to catch up to the sun in Capricorn. Thinking can be more pragmatic in decisions needed to walk the path the soul desires. The full moon energy is felt throughout the weekend, illuminating the differences between what the world expects of you versus what you need for our own fulfillment. The need to create a new way of life is apparent yet the uncertainty of how to do it is felt. Friday the 13th is electrified with Venus conjunct Neptune; a time to seek and experience divine and unconditional love. This is a love that exists in the spiritual realm rather than the personal. Also on Friday Mercury is conjunct Pluto, which provides the ability to go deep into the subconscious to retrieve information that illuminates self-sabotage. If you are around individuals who will not take responsibility for their emotional states then a blame game can ensue from which there is no right answer. Venus shifts into the romantic realm of Pisces Saturday the 14th, urging time spent with creative ventures, such as the movies, music and art. The sun moves into Aquarius the day after it is conflicted with Saturn, a pressure which demands accountability to what you said you would do. Of course this is a reflection back to self, to be accountable for saying only that which you know is in accord with what is best for your development. A deep breath of fresh air is released with the sun in Aquarius shaking off uncomfortable obligations and seeking relationships that understand the need for independence. The new moon in Aquarius on the 23rd is the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. This reiterates the astrological indications of a powerful year which can result in much success with effort. Mars in Virgo is retrograde the same day as the new moon, implicating a set back or reversal in your work. You may discover you have been spinning your wheels and need a break to reassess how to work smarter, not harder. When mercury moves in Aquarius on the 27th the genius within provides valuable concepts and insights.
Aries: (March 21- April 19) What is your “Hero’s” journey? To state that this is your time to step on the path of your personal journey is an understatement. Do not worry if there are times that you feel lost. You will find yourself in an adventure that will help transform you towards embracing a new life. In letting go a part of your old life, you will realize a greater purpose and meaning that is bigger than you imagine with the knowledge you now possess. Stay open to miracles.
Taurus: (April 20- May 20) Enjoy the blessings around you and vow to your higher self to value and remember what is most important to your life. You may be tempted this month and be pulled off track, whether it is procrastinating, or being seduced by something (or someone) that you know once you taste the goodies you will soon regret the action. Be willing to challenge the beliefs that are common and agreed upon, just because the majority believes in something does not make it true or right for you.
Gemini: (May 21-June 21) Conquer your inner realms and you will no longer be conflicted when faced with a multitude of paths and be able to act on instinct. The intuitive force is strong this month. You will see through agendas that create undercurrents of power struggle. Stay true to what you know you can do. Any setbacks are only temporary. Use your intuition to know the limits and boundaries between what you give others and what you expect to receive in return.
Cancer: (June 22- July 22) It is time to face any of the monsters hiding in the closet, in facing fears the beautiful butterfly emerges from its cocoon. Leo: (July 23- August 22) Getting back on track with a routine you can live with is essential now. With Venus traveling through your house of partnerships in the first part of January having a friend help you stay focused can be fun. Your life is evoking your character, is it what you want? How are you responsible for your own foibles? Others may be annoyed by your insistence to uphold higher standards yet this is time to be true to your higher nature.
Virgo: (August 23-September 22) Mars moving retrograde in your sign can set you on fire to work and study hard and get moving in life. Your destiny is to work hard so make sure that it is a work that you know you want and can be good at. Your creativity is strong and romance is in the air. Put effort into digging out your valuables that you have been guarding and polish up your goodies and gifts to the world and throw out what pulls you down. Scorpio: (October 24-November 21) A lightening flash illuminates where your treasure is and can be identified. You will see where you have painted yourself into a corner. You are more than you think. Do not let your ego hold you in, who you think you are is what pins you down- slay the dragon within to free your treasure and follow your bliss. What is it that you want to do, but you think “that is for others, not me”? You are not alone, a trusted friend believes in your talents.
Sagittarius: (November 22- December 21) There is a place of rest, an inner center, that once found you will not be torn apart in always seeking something more. Find your center and you will have the resources you need to accomplish whatever you want regardless of what others think or believe.
