Mercury Retrograde
oMercury will be retrograde in Virgo from Friday August 20 until Sunday September 12th 2010.
Mercury in Virgo will be asking us to rethink how we can be of service. The essence of Virgo is to serve; where in your life can you give service to help others?
You may find your contribution will be in a small way. Perhaps the simple act of being more thoughtful will be in courtesy to others while driving or shopping. Or perhaps by preparing diner for friends- you get the idea find something that feels right for you that serves the purpose of giving. In whatever way spirit calls you to help out the act of following through will help align you with the vibration of the universe.
Virgo is also about organizing, cleaning and tending to day to day activities that need to be done in order to have an efficient and healthy lifestyle. These chores may not be on the list of oh joy- I get to clean the bathroom today but are necessary.
There is a phenomenon happening with the void of course moons where there is very little time between the last aspect- which is the last connection the moon makes to a planet- and the time when the moon moves into a new sign. This creates much movement in life. As soon as we catch up with one thing there are three more things waiting to be done. It can create significant stress and the feeling that there is no time for any relaxation.
However whenever there is a Mercury retrograde the universe is suggesting that it is in your benefit to stop taking on new projects and complete everything that is incomplete. Finish what was shoved to the side to be dealt with later. Now is the later.
Cleaning your home, car, and office is a great idea- you may even find papers that you did not even know you were missing but will be important to have in the near future.
Getting back to an exercise or diet routine is another way to work with this mercury retrograde.
Virgo is also about work; mercury retrograde in Virgo will also indicate that it is a time to rethink your work. Why do you do what you do? How are you using your life energy? Your life is your work, how is what you do to make a living reflect (or not) the life that you want to lead? How can you bring service into the work that you do? How can you offer your work as an act of service to yourself or for those that you love?
This is a time to reevaluate your work, and decide if it is what you want for your life. It may not be time to change jobs but it is time to rethink whether or not the job you have will be able to fulfill you for years to come.
With love and light,
Donna
